Moss was born on the 13th of February, 1977. He is an American football player.
He was an American football player who played 14 seasons within the National
Football League (NFL), including with the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders
and the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans. Many consider him to be the
greatest wide receiver of all time alongside Jerry Rice, he holds the NFL
single-season touchdown reception record (23 in 2007) and the NFL single-season
record for touchdown receptions for rookies (17 in 1998) and is ranked second
on the NFL all-time regular season touchdown list with 156. Moss was famous for
his skill in securing contestable catches, and the term "mossed" has
been incorporated into football's language. Moss began his career as a studio
analyst for ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown and Tuesday Night Countdown shows. Moss
was born in Rand, West Virginia. He was a student at DuPont High School, one of
two schools which later amalgamated into Riverside High School, where he was a
star in football, basketball and baseball as well as track. Randy was also a
member of the school's debate team. Moss led the DuPont Panthers football team
to two consecutive state championships in 1992 and 1993. He was a star at wide
receiver, but also played free safety as well as returned kickoffs and punts,
as well as was the team's kicker and punter. He received the Kennedy Award for
West Virginia Football Player's of the Year in 1994. Parade magazine named him
to their All-American high-school football team in 1995, and in 2009 He was
named one of the 50 best high school football players ever.
